Within the International Institute of Puppetry, the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts de la Marionnette (ESNAM) provides high-level initial training through a three-year course of higher education and validates the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Comédien, specializing in actor-puppeteers (DNSPC).

This school, which is accessible through a competitive examination, allows students to follow the teaching of French and foreign artists and aims at mastering the fundamentals of contemporary puppetry while ensuring the development of the artistic language of each student.

The next competition is scheduled for April 2024.
