Augustin Trébuchon, last French soldier to die in battle

The site of the last offensive called for by Marshal Foch on 10 and 11 November 1918, this is where the ceasefire was sounded by Private 1st Class DELALUQUE.

The last official casualty of the Great War, Augustin-Joseph TREBUCHON, who fell 17 minutes before the ceasefire, is buried in the communal cemetery at Vrigne-Meuse.
